We all know Jay Cutler struggled on the field this season, but it seems as though his challenges followed him home. Parenting is tough, especially for Cutty.
I came across this hilarious little gem after I saw Kristin Cavallari judging the Miss Universe pageant. She was looking super fit and fabulous and I thought why not follow her on Instagram?
If you weren’t sure, KCav is the lovely wife of Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler. She seems to be a super mommy, staying incredibly in shape, raising their two kids Camden and Jaxon and running her own shoe line (it’s more than I accomplish on the regular). KCav had been out of town and shared a rather entertaining text she received when she landed from JC.
Her caption read, “Contrary to what many people think, we don’t have a thousand nannies. So with that being said, when I got home from LA 2 days ago this is what I landed to. Pretty hilarious. Ladies, u want your man to appreciate u? Leave them alone with the kids to see what we deal with!” (I like everything about this caption minus the “u” – we’re not on AIM any more gf).
I envision Cutler looking something like this when he sent these texts. Totally distraught and ready to surrender the white flag.
I think Cavallari is onto something. She should leave Jay home alone with the kids more frequently and maybe he’ll get some thicker skin. No one can whip you into shape better than two little boys under the age of 3.
An angry Bears fan adds some new lyrics to your favorite Christmas carols. After last night’s horrific Monday night football game against Drew Brees and the Saints, it’s safe to say every Bears fan is past the point of disappointed and truly embarrassed.
I took my Bears hat off at the bar because it was no longer appropriate to associate myself with that kind of football.
Despite the bad play, this gentleman’s musical debut was at least entertaining. Misery loves company.
Brandon Marshall is anything but mediocre whether you’re chatting up his freakishly athletic moves on the football field, referencing one of his active social media accounts or loving on his bow-tie swagger. He is his own man.
On Monday, the star wide-out signed a $30-million extension with the Chicago Bears (one that I am quite pleased with) in some serious style.
Why sign your extension in your PJs at home? BMarsh decided to make it a public adventure by signing his extension next to his wifey and Jenny McCarthy on The View. The deal puts him under contract through 2017 and gives him $40 million over the next four years with $23 million guaranteed – not too shabby Mr. Marshall.
THEN to top things off Marshall pledged $1 million to the “Mental Health Community” immediately after accepting his extension. He had been on the daytime talk show discussing mental health before he made the surprise announcement about his extension. His personal experience with a mental health disorder has made him a sincere and extremely vocal advocate for the cause.
This extension is definitely worth the Bears’ dollars. Since signing with Chicago the ProBowler has caught 218 passes for 2,803 yards, 23 touchdowns and is the number one offensive target. Marshall has always been unbelievably talented, but his emotional stature made him a bit of a maturity risk. After his two years with the Bears, Marshall has now honed in those emotions and made himself a mentor for younger wide receivers such as Alshon Jeffery. He’s also been spending his time in Florida this off-season hosting some serious grind sessions for himself and teammates to improve strength, speed and stamina according to ESPN Chicago.
BMarsh has gotten his probowls – now it’s time for a Superbowl. #Beardown
In honor of MNF and the Bears Cowboys NFC throwdown tonight my first Man Crush Monday is dedicated to the one and only Brandon Marshall. I don’t know if it’s his great pearly white smile, his ability to make amazing catches on the field, his size and strength to make dirty blocks or just his charisma, but I have crushed on BMarsh since he joined the Bears two seasons ago.
The Bears’ wide receiver is a reformed NFL bad-boy who has really cleaned up his image. You can find him posting pictures on Instagram of his favorite books, advocating for Mental Health Awareness (he suffers from borderline personality disorder), strutting around in adorable bow-ties and showing fellow NFLers how to truly rock the three piece suit.
Did I mention I really love the bow-ties?
BMarsh’s bromance with Jay Cutty is precious. Cutler threw Marshall his first touchdown pass (they were both then Denver Broncos) in December of 2006. Marshall would later be traded to the Dolphins in 2010. The fearsome duo were reunited when Marshall was traded to the Bears in March of 2012 and they have been going strong ever since.
Sorry to ruin the party single ladies, but Marshall is a married man. Michi Nogami-Campbell and Marshall tied the knot in April of 2010. She is beautiful and has her own sassy reputation to uphold. Just google it.
Be sure to follow the stud on Instagram – btm15 – and twitter @BMarshall
Here is my Halloween gift to you Bears fans: the Da’ Mini Coach.
If you’re struggling to find something for your little guy to dress-up as, I highly recommend the Mini-Mike Ditka costume. This baby Ditka may be the cutest thing this Bears fans has ever seen. The mini-mustache is perfection!
And so my love affair with Brandon Marshall continues…
During the Chicago Bears’ Thursday night game against the New York Giants, Brandon Marshall supported a cause different from the NFL’s Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. Instead, Marshall rocked LIME green cleats to support Mental Health Awareness Week; a cause much closer to his heart.
The Bears’ wide receiver started the buzz about his lime green kicks earlier this week to create more awareness for an illness he not only supports, but also lives with. In 2011 Marshall took an admirable step and went public with his multiple personality disorder diagnosis. He instantly turned his reputation around (bad boy to vulnerable) while also becoming the face of a mental disorder so many people also deal with.
Reports had said the NFL would prevent Marshall from taking the field with the green cleats on, but then those fuddy-duddies had a change of heart. The league ruled that Marshall would be allowed to play and support his cause, but would be fined for the uniform violation. Marshall came back and said he would double the cost of the fine and donate it to his favorite foundation. Take that rules.
To top things off, Chicago’s #1 WR took things to the next level scoring two touchdowns under the lights of Soldier Field. Yup – love that. Oh, and I LOVE this purple bow tie.
BMarsh has brought national attention to the disorder throughout the week and Thursday night during the national broadcast. Ultimately, Marshall hopes that through awareness he can help others learn to cope with their condition.
As I watched Marc Trestman during his first “official” post game press conference as the Chicago Bears head coach (preseason doesn’t count), I couldn’t help but ask myself “why does he look so familiar?”
Then it clicked, Marc Trestman looks a whole lot like Bill Nye the Science Guy. After watching countless episodes during science class throughout elementary school and junior high, I’m embarrassed it took me so long to recognize the resemblance.
In all honesty, I could care less if Bill Nye was actually coaching the Bears as long as the team plays well.
Trestman made some gutsy calls during the Bears home opener on Sunday and I’m very excited to see what else the rookie Head Coach has in store for Chicago this season. Marc, Marc, Marc, Marc, Marc, Marc!
