It may not even be Thanksgiving yet, but the NBA is gearing up to spread some holiday cheer with the release of their Adidas Christmas Day uniforms.
It seems as though Santa has something up his sleeves (literally) for the Bulls and the other 10 teams who are playing in the Christmas Day hoop-a-palooza special. The jerseys are a combination of a jersey shore style v-neck and those dry fit tees you get in your half marathon goodie-bag. The Adidas “BIG Logo” uniforms haven’t been a very big hit, but I have to say I enjoy the large bull logo. I also feel like DRose has really embraced his modeling career after the GQ spread a few years back.
On the other hand, the Jingle Hoops commercial is the best part of the campaign. Last year’s “Carol of the Balls” dribbling chorus was pretty great, but rounding up Rose, Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant, Golden State Warriors stud Stephen Curry, Houston Rockets guard James Harden, Los Angeles Lakers top dog Steve Nash and Miami Heat’s LeBron James to make the nets play “Jingle Bells” is a worthy successor.
I give Adidas an A+ on the jingle hoops commercial, but a B- on the new uniform design. How would you grade the holiday campaign?
