Who run the world? Beyonce that’s who! Looks like all the single ladies AND football lovers will be tuning into Super Bowl XLVII since the ultimate grammy-winning diva will be taking the stage at halftime at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
A source close to the event told The Associated Press Beyonce will be performing at the Super Bowl on Feb. 3, 2013. After Madonna’s tragic “cheerleader-ish” performance in February of 2012 this breaking Beyonce news is so refreshing!
If you need a Beyonce crash course here are some of her top pop and R&B hits (in order of greatness): Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It), Naughty Girl, Crazy in Love, Deja Vu, If I Were a Boy. We’re going to refer to Beyonce as Queen B since she’s racked up 16 Grammy Awards and it honestly doesn’t get much better than B. The 31-year-old sang the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 in her hometown of Houston when the New England Patriots defeated the Carolina Panthers.
Now the question is, will Beyonce’s second appearance at the Super Bowl include any collaborations? Will we be seeing her hubby/world renowned rapper making an appearance? Maybe even a little Kanye West (since him and Jay are buddies). Or possibly a little appearance from her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams? I think I would just about die if Survivor was included in the song lineup.
I give the Beyonce Super Bowl halftime show choice one BIG thumbs up! The only thing that could make the 2013 Super Bowl any sweeter would be if the Chicago Bears are one of the teams playing at the Superdome.
