This is just too good! Columbian Elementary in Omaha busted a 5th grader for organizing a NCAA tournament pool. The pool was put together by 11-year-old bracketeer Max Kohll, who invited his friends to fill out brackets.
“I got in trouble because I was filling out a bracket with my friends and we bet money,” Kohll told the World-Herald. “We each brought $5 each.”
Looks like March Madness is starting at a young age these days. Gambling isn’t something we should be teaching our children, but this was so innocent. Max was brought before his elementary school’s principal, and his class got a lecture about the dangers of gambling.
“It’s not ok to gamble,” he told the paper. “It’s like illegal, sort of.”
Max has North Carolina going all the way.
