This little nugget is absolutely adorable and has a better throwing arm than I do (well…not yet, but he probably will relatively soon). Who is this mini-man you ask? Christian Haupt. He is 3 years old, a baseball fanatic and wears his white uniform to preschool everyday. He cheers for the Dodgers, his favorite bedtime story is anything about Babe Ruth, he prefers watching baseball to cartoons and his favorite song is “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” Sounds like my dad’s ideal son (minus the Dodgers) :-).
Last summer Christian’s parents posted a YouTube video of their 2-year-old son showing his baseball skills, and less than a week later, a Hollywood casting director from an Adam Sandler film spotted it. They were looking for a young ballplayer to appear in Sandler’s film “That’s My Boy,” according to the Thousand Oaks Acorn. The only problem when filming the movie in Cape Cod last August was when Christian had to switch out of his baseball outfit for a polo shirt and shorts – this did not go over well with the little prodigy, there were tears.
You must watch Christian’s video, wait until he bats the second time, the kid knows how to swing and hits a legitimate line drive – he’s 3!
