If you’ve turned on your TV in Chicago recently you’ve seen the impressive Adidas marketing campaign for #thereturn of Derrick Rose. The commercial gives me goosebumps! To continue their marketing efforts, Rose’s ever popular Adidas shoe line unveiled the D Rose 3 collection last week and introduced the latest colorway Tuesday morning.

The ever humble NBA superstar has always incorporated his personal life or Chicago into the designs of his shoes – connecting himself to fans on a more personal level. This time the former MVP dug deep and took his own direction exemplifying an unforgettable piece of Chicago history while simultaneously honoring local heroes.

The “Chicago Fire” line are brightly-colored shoes, inspired by the Chicago Fire Department and feature the universal cross symbol of firefighters with the D Rose logo positioned right in the middle.
